Dear
guests ,
we welcome you cordially on the website of the restaurant Sarovar.
Sarovar means holy artificial lake.
Rivers
and lakes take a great part in India.
A lot of holy places and cities are situated on the riverside
(e.g. Benares) or near by lakes (e.g. Golden Temple).
God Shiva had two sons, Ganesha and Kartika.
The Indian month Kartik (from midst of October to midst of November)
has its name from Kartika. The most important Indian festivity
Diwali and the birthday of the holy guru Nanak are in this month.
Five days before Diwali are claylamps set into Sarovar (see the
picture). This ceremony is called Deepdaan and promises fortune
and prosperity.
In the restaurant Sarovar we use only
the finest and freshest ingredience,
in order to prepare nutrient and delicious dishes.
We always endeavour that our guests
leave our restaurant as friends!
